Mandate

Inner City Industry is established to support the traditional school system with resources that are generally unavailable due to limited budgets and distant corporate, as well as, entertainment relationships. Students involved in ICI after school activities MUST be enrolled in local schools governed by the school districts in which they reside.

Cultural Understanding: Through a diverse membership of Street Team Mentors, ICI will impart and highlight social etiquette among Africa American, Asian American and Latin American's while conveying historical successes among the 140 nationalities representing the City of Los Angeles.

Curriculum Reform: ICI's after school program will provide the framework in which we engage youth through individual and group counseling sessions. Through this we will gather research to determine appropriate grade level and curriculum towards the integration of social, emotional, developmental learning within traditional academic settings.

Economic Development: Building on the principle of "ownership" among its program participants, ICI will endow a full scale production facility embracing performing arts, business development, and wellness centers with retail capabilities managed by Inner City Industry achievers.
