Program Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the direction of Inner City Industry’s Academic Achievement Initiative. The Program Director of ICI’s Academic Achievement Initiative is the primary liaison to the Board of Directors. The Director is responsible for and supervises Youth Mentors in the Therapeutic Behavioral Mentoring, Professional Development and Education Enrichment Programs, a non-clinical case management program providing mentoring and support and services to participating youth and their families. This position is supervised by the Board of Directors.

Development and Communications Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for taking the lead on planning, managing and implementing a development program for the successful implementation of all fundraising programs for the organization, including major gifts, Inner City Industry Honors, and Grant RFP. Major responsibility is cultivation of corporate and major donors. The director is responsible for coordinating, editing and finalizing Inner City Industry external written communications for media relations efforts. Additional responsibilities include volunteer and staff management, financial planning, strategic planning, board relations, and relationship building with diverse constituencies.

Youth Mentors

JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidates applying for this position should possess a BS/BA in a Social Sciences area; or possess a minimum of 3 years child/group care experience. Youth Mentors (YM) provide case management services to each student involved in the after school program. YM’s make home visits to the parents of each participant and act as the liaison between the client’s parents, teachers, school counselors and program staff. Youth Mentors are responsible for overseeing and maintaining outreach and program objectives. YM’s facilitate Therapeutic Behavioral Mentoring discussion with counseling mentors and conduct experiential activities. Youth Mentors report to the Program Director and supervise program volunteer.
